Museum Of Modern Art (Prague)
Museum Of Modern Art (Prague)
MOMA
Czech's Museum Of Modern Art; a gallery on a grand scale. The museum exhibited ranging works, from Czech's most credited pieces, to famed works by Picasso, Renoir and Mucha. The main focal area personally was the Cubist exhibit; the floor, on which it was situated, showed the development in styles across Europe from late nineteenth century to mid twentieth.
The exhibit offered much inspiration, with works from artists previously unknown by myself on show.
Alongside this, the museum also featured a floor exhibiting contemporary modern art, one which I did not become fond of, and a photographic exhibition. This displayed the works of five modern photographers who captured their individual journeys on camera; the troubles of Slovakia in the 1990's, Comunist Russia and, to my interest, the behind the scenes shots of the stage show 'Burlesque'.
These were all displayed within the towering structure that is
the museum, a building equally as artistic as the works displayed within it.
